Can I take the 8 week Retreat Coach Telegroup without signing up for the Certification?
Yes, The 8 week course is designed to give you an introduction to leading retreats combined with allowing you to grow your resources.
If, after the 8 weeks of learning you wish to continue with the benefits of the support network and ongoing development for your practice
you can jump into the certification course and the $395 course fee will be applied to the Level One fee of $1295 Back to Top

Is the 8 Week Retreat Coach Telegroup in person or on the phone?
The 8 week course is all by phone: one hour per week in a virtual classroom. It's a fun way to learn and you'll feel like you are in a great learning class. Just without the visual. The only cost is your long distance per minute rate. It is recommended you do not use cell phones so that the lines are clear. Back to Top

What if I miss one of the classes?
Each call is recorded and you’ll receive a follow up email with the recorded link. You can then listen to the call you missed through your Computer at your scheduling convenience. Back to Top

Is the Certification accredited?
Currently it is not accredited. The certification is exactly that, a certification designed through our company: Mountain Coaching and RetreatCoaches.com. It is a non-linear learning program designed to help you grow your skills as a leader based on the International Coaching Federations coaching competencies including other experiential learning modules combined with your own skill base and style. The benefit of completing the certification is to give you a stronger personal development around your ability to lead retreats, be a strong business person, and create a profitable retreat practice. What is the benefit of signing up for the certification?
Many of the coaches who have completed both the Level One Certified Retreat Coach designation along with the Master’s Level attest to the increased feeling of confidence, expertise and mastery in their ability to lead retreats and run a successful and profitable retreat business. Being in the certification gives you not only direct mentorship with MCC Helene Van Manen but also allows you to be a part of the “premier network of Professional Retreat Coaches.” Other benefits include ongoing training and development, resources at your fingertips through the Student Area of the www.retreatcoaches.com <http://www.retreatcoaches.com/> , support from professional Retreat Coaches and networking and marketing opportunities. Do I have to attend an In Person Training to get my certification?
The In Person Retreat Coach Training in Colorado is a part of the Master’s Level designation.  You can complete the entire Level One Certified Retreat Coach Designation from a distance. Back to Top

Can I attend the In Person Training without being in the Certification?
Yes. The In Person Certification can be taken independently of the certification. Back to Top

Do I have to be a Coach or have formal Coaching training to enroll?
No. There is no pre-requisite for enrollment except either an interest in growing your professionalism around the retreats you are leading or desire to be a Retreat Leader. Many yoga teachers, ministers, social workers or therapists, bodyworkers and healers enroll in the program as a way of learning how to be strong retreat leaders/ coaches. Back to Top
